Beyond Compliance: Building a Responsible and Resilient Future

Last November 4, 2025, we had the honor of participating in our parent company Ayala’s initiative to uphold and advance the ESG principles that are shaping the future of business. The Ayala Integrated CGRMS Summit 2025, aptly themed “Purposeful Governance: The Pathway towards Progress and Prosperity for All”, explored topics that are now transforming the corporate world given the rise of AI, robotics and automation. The event also delved into how these innovations are being embedded into core functions like operations, finance and risk management, empowering organizations to make more informed and impactful decisions.

Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant concept—it’s becoming deeply woven into the fabric of life and work. As we embrace this transformation, it’s critical to approach AI with discernment: knowing when and how to use it responsibly, while keeping empathy, creativity, and moral judgment at the heart of innovation.

Beyond Compliance: Building a Responsible and Resilient Future

At IMI, we are taking our first steps with intention. We are developing an AI policy while laying the groundwork for ethical and strategic adoption. We’ve also begun deploying enterprise AI solutions, such as Copilot, to enhance productivity and decision-making. Beyond that, we are actively developing tailored solutions to harness its potential, and exploring how AI and IoT can be ethically integrated into our manufacturing processes.

During the summit, one powerful reminder also stood out: Sustainability must be viewed through the lens of value creation—not politics. It should not be treated as a mere compliance exercise, but as a rational and strategic path to resilience. Embedding sustainability into our operations enables us to create long-term value for our stakeholders. The challenge—and opportunity—is to link sustainable mindset with long-term success, making it a core part of how we do business.

Sustainability has become one of the defining imperatives of our time. In the electronics manufacturing industry, where innovation drives progress, we are equally challenged to ensure that the way we build the future also protects it.

We view our ESG journey as a long-term commitment to doing business responsibly. Our roadmap is shaped by a simple belief: profit and purpose can — and must — coexist.

Our ESG roadmap continues to evolve, as all journeys do. What matters is that every step brings us closer to a more resilient and responsible manufacturing ecosystem — one that benefits business, people, and the planet alike.

For us at IMI, sustainability is not a destination. It is the way forward — engineered for execution, delivered with purpose. And we know we cannot do it alone.

We invite you — our partners, peers, and the communities around us — to walk this path with us. Together, let’s build an industry that not only innovates, but also inspires — one that leaves a legacy of responsibility, resilience, and shared progress.
